Introducing the South Holderness GDF Working Group

A Working Group has formed to start a conversation about whether South Holderness could be the right place to build a GDF and whether a GDF would be right for South Holderness.

The Working Group includes an independent chair, an independent facilitator and representatives from the relevant principal local authority, the Interested Party and the GDF developer – Nuclear Waste Services, as well as members of the local community.

The Working Group will begin to engage people as part of its work; it will also start to understand the potential suitability of the local area to host a GDF and any issues or questions the community might have. The Working Group holds regular local events in public places where you can talk to us in person, or contact us via phone, email, or through our website.

Other local communities across England have already joined the conversation about potentially hosting a GDF, and what it could mean for them.
